One of the biggest goals on my 101 list is #28 – Lose 80 lbs. Clearly, this is no small feat, and could easily merit a blog of its own – to be honest, this blog might end up being more of a weight loss blog until that goal is reached. I am going to use this page to post progress charts and photos, for those who might be interested.
My plan of attack is two-fold. I have rejoined Weight Watchers Online (third time’s the charm, right?) and I have joined the county Rec Center near our home. What makes me think it’s going to work this time? Well, a few reasons. First, I have nothing else big going on in my life to distract me. I have the time and resources to dedicate to this goal. Second, I have a super supportive husband who believes in me even when I don’t, eats all the Weight Watchers meals I make, and signs up to run 5k’s with me! Lastly, I have a reason that is bigger than wanting to look good. We want to start a family in the next few years, and I know that it would be irresponsible and unhealthy of me to get pregnant at my current weight – I am doing this for the child(ren) I do not yet have, but who I have been waiting for my whole life.

I don’t have an official “before” photo, since I did my best to hide from cameras when I was 233 lbs! Here’s one from the week before I started getting healthy… at a Christmas party in December 2009. As you can see, I’m attempting to hide behind my husband! (Attempt being the key word… it’s hard to hide at that size…)
Here are the first set of actual comparison photos! The pictures on the top were taken at the end of February 2009, I had already lost about 25 lbs in these. On the bottom were taken at the end of May 2009, 20 lbs down from the first set. Hopefully there will be many more to come!
